What is trending audio?
Trending audio refers to sound clips, music tracks, or audio snippets that gain popularity and widespread usage on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Because these audios often influence user-generated videos and become associated with specific trends, challenges, or memes, Instagram and TikTok take them seriously when ranking content.
This week's trending audio for Instagram Reels and how to use them
Is the Boston Marathon longer than the LA Marathon? - @passthatpuss
Use this trending sound to answer a very common question people ask that has an obvious answer. You can record it with another person. Person 1 lipsyncs “Not to be stupid but Is the Boston Marathon longer than the LA Marathon?”. Make sure to add an overlay of your question. Then person 2 can answer by lipsyncing “No, all marathons are the same length.” For this clip you want to add the answer to the question as an overlay. @risingtidesocial did a great job promoting their services in their version.
A croissant won’t solve all of your problems - @prettylittlefawn
If you are a bakery or coffee shop, THIS is the perfect sound for you. However, that doesn’t mean that any other product-based business cannot use it. To record this trend all you need is 1 clip where you show your product when it says “A croissant won’t solve all of your problems.” If you sell anything other than a croissant, make sure to change the text overlay to your product. When it says “But two might do the trick.” you can add a second product. @prescocoffeeco were able to promote their coffees in their reel.
What did you do? - @nouxroux
This trend has finally crossed the border from TikTok to Instagram reels. Instead of highlighting an awkward moment when you have to make small talk with someone but you don’t know how to start the conversation. You can make fun at a moment when you’re too tired to form a proper sentence. We’ve all been there. This sound is the perfect way to poke fun at it. Make sure you look a bit tired when lip-syncing the words “What did you do? Do you uhm. Did you wake up? Who…who did you hang out with? If you were to hang out with someone who were they.” Take a look at @setslex being tired after a long day.
With me. Without me. - @skin.deepbeauty
Sometimes you have to show people what they are missing without you. You can highlight your product or service by showing before and after pictures. Every time it says “with me” you show the after, “without me” you show the before. You can also record yourself lipsyncing the words the same way @toridevv did.
It’s about time - @jemafelicityrose
Want a cheeky way to promote your product or service? You can use this trending sound to do so. All you need to do is lipsync the first clip saying: “It’s about time you fell in love with something that will love you back.” For the second clip when it says “and that, my friend” you can use a transition clip that won’t give away from the reveal. When it says “is house music” you reveal what it is. Make sure to replace the text “house music” with what you are promoting. @getthereatx did a great way of promoting a different mode of transportation.

What I have been looking for - North Valley Group
Did we all set up performances when we were little to gain adult’s favour? If you did, this trend is perfect to exercise that muscle again. Take a friend or a colleague and some fake microphones and start recording yourself lipsyncing to this High School Musical song. You can later add “Me and [insert person] trying to distract [insert person] from [x]”. @oglivysociallab did an Emmy-worthy performance.
Thumbelina - Teddy’s Dance Company
Would it be TikTok if no one tried to recreate a dance? Everyone is recreating the Thumbelina dance and you might want to get on it too. As text, you want to make sure to add the name, age and dance type. Here’s a wholesome video by @lindseyryersonn.
3, 2, 1…GO! - James Jones
This trend has quickly been taking over the internet. Everyone just spreading positivity by dancing. Not everything has to be 100% serious all the time. You can simply spread vibes. Look at how James Jones is simply spreading joy in their video.
I’m Amanda - LLKV LLPS LLLL 🕊️
There are moments when you don’t look 100% put together. Which is totally fine. You can poke fun at it. All you have to do is look at the camera while it says “Who are you playing with sweetie?” and innocently respond “Amanda”. Make sure you look put together. When it says “Who are you?” you can lipsync “I’m Amanda. I am 6” while looking a mess. @emilyynasser shows how she looks at work versus working from home.
I’m looking for a man in finance - @djhunnybee
This sound has known many transformations since @girl_on_couch posted it. Now there is a remix by @djhunnybee that is going viral. If you are in a corporate setting you can use it to highlight your finance department. Take a look at @duolingo’s take on the trend.
