Want to use trending audio but don't have the time to find them yourself? You're in luck! We update this blog every Friday with 5 options for trending audio on Instagram and 5 options for trending audio on TikTok.

What is trending audio?

Trending audio refers to sound clips, music tracks, or audio snippets that gain popularity and widespread usage on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Because these audios often influence user-generated videos and become associated with specific trends, challenges, or memes, Instagram and TikTok take them seriously when ranking content.

This week's trending audio for Instagram Reels and how to use them

What did you do? - @nouxroux

This trend has finally crossed the border from TikTok to Instagram reels. Instead of highlighting an awkward moment when you have to make small talk with someone but you don’t know how to start the conversation. You can make fun at a moment when you’re too tired to form a proper sentence. We’ve all been there. This sound is the perfect way to poke fun at it. Make sure you look a bit tired when lip-syncing the words “What did you do? Do you uhm. Did you wake up? Who…who did you hang out with? If you were to hang out with someone who were they.” Take a look at @setslex being tired after a long day.

Original audio - @dme.optics

Sometimes you simply need audio to put behind your videos. This one is perfect for a vlog, a tiny edit or showcasing your products. @juliagoryczko perfectly showcased a BTS of their content shoot with this sound.

I told you we needed more glitter - @count_yourdays101

If this sound has been in your saved folder for a while, now is the perfect time to use it. You can highlight you different personalities or styles or even opposite products you sell. @waterandfloursoho is a great example of how to use this sound.

With me. Without me. - @skin.deepbeauty

Sometimes you have to show people what they are missing without you. You can highlight your product or service by shocwasing before and after pictures. Everytime it says “with me” you show the after, “without me” you show the before. You can also record yourself lipsynincing the words the same way @toridevv did.

It’s about time - @jemafelicityrose

Want a cheeky way to promote your product or service? You can use this trending sound to do so. All you need to do is lipsync the first clip saying: “It’s about time you fell in love with something that will love you back.” For the second clip when it says “and that, my friend” you can use a transition clip that won’t give away from the reveal. When it says “is house music” you reveal what it is. Make sure to replace the text “house music” with what you are promoting. @getthereatx did a great way of promoting a different mode of transportation.

3, 2, 1…GO! - James Jones

This trend has quickly been taking over the internet. Everyone just spreading positivity by dancing. Not everything has to be 100% serious all the time. You can simply spread vibes. Look at how James Jones is simply spreading joy in their video.

I’m Amanda - LLKV LLPS LLLL 🕊️

There are moments when you don’t look 100% put together. Which is totally fine. You can poke fun at it. All you have to do is look at the camera while it says “Who are you playing with sweetie?” and innocently respond “Amanda”. Make sure you look put together.  When it says “Who are you?” you can lipsync “I’m Amanda. I am 6” while looking a mess. @emilyynasser shows how she looks at work versus working from home.

I’m looking for a man in finance - @djhunnybee

This sound has known many transformations since @girl_on_couch posted it. Now there is a remix by @djhunnybee that is going viral. If you are in a corporate setting you can use it to highlight your finance department. Take a look at @duolingo’s take on the trend.

I hate birthday cake - LADbibletv

You can make a positive spin on this sound. Instead of showcasing or highlighting something you hate, you can highlight your product of service. The same way @rhkbarsireland did showcasing their Nutella menu. All you have to do is compile a couple of clips of your product. The first clip should feature “I hate x”, which is your product or service. When Millie Bobby Brown says: “I hate birthday cake”, you can add a second clip, “cupcakes”, a third clip, “all kinds of cakes” your fourth clip”.

Its the shoes covered in nutella after a shift for me

One Step At a Time - Karaoke Nyc

Sometimes you are on your way to do some very (un)serious business. Feel free to poke fun at that. Just have someone record a clip of you walking. Make sure to have a very serious expression on your face. Here’s a funny example by @socialhit_.
